What you’ll do
- Meeting Point & Briefing (15 min)
Meet your guide at the designated meeting point for a safety and orientation briefing before setting off. - Hike into the Wild South (45 min)
Begin your adventure by trekking through unique trails, immersing yourself in the lush virgin forest and meandering rivers of the wild south. - Explore Cascade Mamzelle & Take a Swim (45 min)
First, you’ll observe Cascade Mamzelle from a viewpoint. Then, you’ll descend to the waterfall itself, where you can enjoy an optional swim in its cool, freshwater basin. - Trek to the Natural Pool (15 min)
Continue your hike for a short distance to a beautiful natural pool. - Volcanic Cliffs & Saltwater Swim (30 min)
Enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural saltwater pool, take photos, and rest. Afterwards, you’ll trek along the dramatic volcanic cliffs that offer breathtaking views of the vast Indian Ocean. - Return & Farewell (30 min)
On your way back to the meeting point, you’ll make one final stop at a superb viewpoint for more photos before leaving with unforgettable memories of Mauritius’s untouched beauty.

Know before you go
- The hike requires a minimum level of fitness and is generally suitable for participants aged 10 to 65

- The guide will be the only contact person on the day of the tour, you will receive the guide’s contact details upon booking or on the eve of the activity date by email (make sure to check your spams if you did not receive the email)

More than a hike – a great experience with Paj
Paj didn’t just guide us to Tamarin Falls – he lifted the whole experience. From the very first steps of the hike, his calm presence, great energy, and deep local knowledge made everything feel both safe and enjoyable. The views were absolutely stunning, and just being close to the waterfalls was an experience in itself. Paj made sure everyone felt included and relaxed, while sharing stories and small details that made the hike feel special rather than “touristy”.

Great experience with Rowin, who is a very welcoming and knowledgeable guide. Beautiful and peaceful landscape of mangrove trees, birds and unique fauna and flora on the banks of the Tamarin river. Time flew by so quickly.

Fabulous first canyoning experience
We had a great canyoning experience with Nicolas and Jeremy! The scenery was fabulous. Jeremy and Nicolas showed great professionalism. Their explanation and advices made us feel safe to attempt this activity as beginners. They were very encouraging guides and ensured that everyone felt at ease at all time. Exciting animal encounter
Spectacular! Yudish was an energetic and informative guide who led us in a group of five kayaks out into the bay for a successful dolphin encounter. It was awesome to be up close and hear them breathe in the quiet early morning light. Then Yudish led us up the river for more unique sights. This was a fantastic experience! Thanks, Yudish! 🙂
