Discover the untamed beauty of Mauritius on a 2h30 e-bike adventure through the island’s wild south. This challenging ride takes you far from the usual paths, across sugarcane fields, rugged trails, and along dramatic cliffs with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.

As you ride, you’ll immerse yourself in the raw and authentic side of the island: herds of cows and goats grazing freely, windswept landscapes where the land meets the sea, and the timeless charm of rural Mauritius. The electric assistance makes the effort more manageable, so you can focus on the thrill of the ride and the power of the scenery around you.

Designed for confident riders who are comfortable on a bike, this off-road journey is an invitation to experience Mauritius at its most natural and unspoiled.

What you’ll do

  • Meet & Briefing (10–15 min):
    Meet your guide at Anantara Iko for introductions, equipment setup, and a short safety briefing on how to handle your e-bike.
  • Ride to La Cambuse Beach (20–25 min):
    Start the adventure with an off-road ride through sandy tracks leading to the wild and unspoiled La Cambuse beach, where you’ll enjoy your first ocean views.
  • Cycle to Le Bouchon Beach (20–25 min):
    Follow the coastal trail towards Le Bouchon beach, another hidden gem of the wild south, with waves crashing against the rocky shore.
  • Pont Suspendu (30 min):
    Continue your ride to the historic Pont Suspendu, set among volcanic rocks, and learn about its history from your guide.
  • Forest of Royal Palms & Mare aux Songes (30 min):
    Pedal through the lush palm forest leading to Mare aux Songes, the site where the first dodo remains were discovered.
  • Return to Anantara Iko (20–25 min):
    Conclude the loop back to Anantara Iko, where your guide will wrap up the ride and share final stories before farewell.

Know before you go

  • Duration: approx. 2h30
  • Off-road technical ride – cycling experience required
  • Maximum group size: 8 participants
  • Must be comfortable riding a mountain bike
  • Minimum age: 14 years | Maximum age: 65 years
  • Activity may be rescheduled in case of bad weather
  • The guide reserves the right to refuse participation if clothing, footwear, or physical ability is deemed unsuitable for the activity.
  • The guide will be the only contact person on the day of the tour, you will receive the guide’s contact details upon booking or on the eve of the activity date by email (make sure to check your spams if you did not receive the email)

The exciting hiking le morne mountain

Jilles was our guide of this hiking Le morne mountain. He was very nice to us, and explained the mauritian history and some plants. He also cared how tired we were during hiking. (some rest, drink water …)we walked round of this mountain so we got to see beautiful views at each good spots. we are so grateful that we had this experience, which is one of hilight of our travel. Thank you !!

The adventure, waterfalls and the team behind everything, were the best. We had so much fun together, talked a lot and felt very save. A must do on mauritius if you are seeking for adrenaline and a story to tell your friends.

Nicolas and Gregory were brilliant professionals from start to finish with a keen eye on safety at all times. Felt safe under their lead. Great characters with a lovely humour. They guided us through some nervy moments with ease and patience which allowed everyone to enjoy and get the most out of the experience.

All kit provided. And even took photos along the journey for us as well as carrying out water on such a hot day!
