HALF-DAY

The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7cascades, is an adventurous hike in the heart of the island. It’s a total immersion in our tropical forest, where we will discover five of seven waterfalls of Tamarind one after the other.

Located in the centre of Mauritius, the hike offers a great discovery of the diverse nature of Mauritius. Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons. During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades. The hike lasts more or less 3 hours.

FULL-DAY

The full-day tour at Tamarind Falls is for the more adventurous ones! Some steeper and very remote section of the hike will require better physical condition, but we can assure that the it is worth it. During this tour, we will discover all the waterfalls of this beautiful gorge.

We went with Jessa who was lovely and could tell that she was very passionate about nature and the outdoors, as well as to share her piece of paradise with guests. The 7 Cascades hike was apparently possible to do alone, however she had a lot of great guidance and suggestions on how to navigate the various passages, slopes, etc. Her pace was great too, being a warm day, we were able to take time at the waterfalls to actually appreciate them and cool down a bit as well. Our group had an interesting mix of backgrounds (Canada, Denmark, India, France, and more); most were athletic but one fellow was a bit slower and she helped him quite a lot. She also spoke perfect English and French as well as knowing some good history about the country and also the nature. Frankly, I cannot imagine having attempted this hike solo and I'm glad that we went with Jessa as she was very sweet and managed this all very well.

we did the 7 cascades hike with Nico and we definitely recommend it! we started the hike at 8am so we were the only people there. Also, yanature are the only guides that start the hike from the bottom of the cascades to the top, leaving the best for the end ! need good hiking shoes as the path to reach the river is quite steep.

Great experience
