About the Tour

Step into the heart of Mauritius’ most scenic national park for a unique bird watching experience. This gentle guided walk takes you through lush forest trails, where you’ll have the chance to observe some of the island’s most iconic and endemic bird species in their natural habitat.

During the tour, we usually spot around 5 to 6 out of 9 endemic bird species. Among the most commonly seen are the Mauritius Cuckooshrike, Echo Parakeet, Mauritius Bulbul, Grey White-eye, Mauritius Fody, Pink Pigeon, and occasionally the elegant Paradise Flycatcher. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the rare Mauritius Kestrel, which has been seen on roughly 2 out of 10 tours. We sometimes also spot the Mascarene Swallow and Mascarene Swiftlet, endemic to the Mascarene islands.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Black River Gorges National Park, its mountains, forests, waterfall, and the distant

1 pair of Binoculars is provided during the tour for the group.

Amazing Kayak trip with dolphins

Apr 27, 2026
Had the most incredible kayak trip watching dolphins—truly an unforgettable experience! Theo was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and made everything feel easy and special. Being out on the water like that was pure magic.

What made it even better was how close we got to the dolphins—it felt so natural and respectful, nothing like crowded boat trips. The views of the coastline were absolutely stunning too.

Honestly, I’d do this again in a heartbeat. Way better than any boat tour I’ve ever done—highly recommend!

The trip was absolutely amazing! The view over the Tamarin River was stunning and made the whole experience even more special. We had so much fun throughout, and everything was well organized. A big thank you to our guide, Mr. Gilles from Yanature, who was incredibly friendly, professional, and made sure we felt comfortable by giving clear and helpful instructions. Highly recommend this experience!

Beautiful experience

My friend and I did the morning kayaking tour to Benitiers Island and Crystal Rock with Theo and it was a beautiful experience. The early hour really allows you to kayak in piece and reach the island before the boats arrive: having breakfast there was super chill. Perfect mix of activity and relax. Theo was very friendly and he told us interesting stories about the island. Would definitely recommend both the tour and the guide!
